Choose hosting beyond the introductory price
Choose hosting for the site you actually want to build.
Define the job before the plan
Write down what the site does, who maintains it and which data you cannot lose. An occasional business brochure and a shop with daily orders have different recovery needs. If you have no server administrator, begin with the work the provider manages and the support channels you can actually use.
Build a two-period cost sheet
Separate the introductory period from renewal. Record the commitment length, payment due now, domain, email and required add-ons, then compare totals over the same duration. A promotional monthly figure may average a multi-year upfront payment. Inspect the checkout total before committing.
Ask how recovery works
Do more than tick a backup checkbox. Ask what is copied, how often, how many versions remain, who restores them and whether restoration costs extra. A shop also needs a plan for orders placed after the latest backup. Keep a copy you control and test the recovery process before depending on it.
Plan for migration and growth
Check how you export files, databases and email, and whether migration assistance is included. Note the limits relevant to your workload: storage, site count or shared resources. Ask what an upgrade costs and involves. This shortlist does not benchmark provider speed, so it cannot establish which plan is fastest.
Options for different needs
Hostinger Premium
A first website or small creative project: A managed entry plan for a small site, with WordPress and a site builder in the same service. The published plan lists three websites, 20 GB SSD storage and weekly backups.
Trade-off: Introductory monthly rate requires a long upfront term · Renewal costs more than the promotion
SiteGround StartUp
A small site that needs daily backups: SiteGround positions StartUp for personal projects and small sites. Its published hosting page includes daily backups, website transfer and round-the-clock support.
Trade-off: Promotional pricing and renewal pricing differ substantially · Check the limits of the selected plan before scaling
Cloudways
A growing project needing cloud configuration: A managed cloud hosting platform that lets you choose a cloud provider and server specifications. It provides expert support and configurable scaling; the exact resources and bill depend on your selected service.
Trade-off: Requires more configuration decisions than an entry shared plan · Costs depend on provider, resources and add-ons
